Bouser`s Barn Restaurant in Union City

Made our annual trip to Winchester. We'd eaten over there several years in a row and decided to look around the area. This looked too cool to pass up so we went out of our way to make it over here. What a classic small town local restaurant! Things are just so simple, I love it. The decoration is very fun, it's clean, the outside is well maintained, even the old school bathrooms (outside and at the rear of the building) are clean and maintained. Good food and personable service! Thanks for being a great establishment!

Good price for a good sized meal! Wife and I had tenderloins with fries, coleslaw, and drinks for under $30 (including a good tip). It was all great!

Good home cooked food.

Bouser's Barn has the most delicious chicken this side of Kentucky! They also have some delicious potato wedges, mashed potatoes, fresh coleslaw, ice cream, root beer floats, and so much more! Also, they buy all their chicken from local farms! They have outdoor seating only, it's a drive in type restaurant. This is a definite family favorite!

We went for the fried pickles. They were amazing! Hot crispy and delicious. The inside of the place is really cool. I could spend all day in there smelling thr candles and looking at all the souvenirs and collections of photos and what nots all over the place. Its a pretty cool place to take some pics if youre traveling. Lots of "selfie" and "usie" wall picture opportunities. I will be back for the cheese curds!

The chicken is always good here, and I live the sweet corn nuggets. Wasn't a fan of the pizza.

Walked in stood at the front entrance for 10 min. No hi how are you or welcome...all the tables were either taken or dirty. I personally will never go back do to the lack of service and hospitality

The fried chicken was AMAZING!! And a very fun little eclectic dining area. So glad we stepped off the beaten path for this small-town family-owned gem!

Boulder's Barn has been serving up great food for almost 50 yrs. From their Fried Chicken to the Pork Tenderloin, and Pizza to Hamburgers you cannot beat the food or the atmosphere. And I cannot forget the pies. If you didn't get something good to eat, you ate someplace else.

The fried chicken is great! Honestly a bit too pricey and the ice cream is slightly gritty, but not too bad.

Generous portions, enjoyed our meals.

The chicken is great, used to have good pizza, but that last two I've gotten really wasnt good at all, last one mostly ended up in the trash. Not sure what they changed. I'd say everything is good here other than the pizza.

The place has good food, owner's are friendly, daily specials good, best homemade pies, clean atmosphere! Lot's of memorabilia on walls to look at from Union City and surrounding area's!

Quaint little restaurant that's very popular in the area. Their Pizza is good but my family is wild about their fried chicken. Interesting decor with lots of local history and celebrity photos and stories.

Ordered a large pizza on the phone and asked for it to be cut traditional (triangle pieces) they said sure. Paid for my pizza and left opened it up and it was cut into squares, if I wanted to go somewhere and have them mess up my order I'd go to McDonald's...... not to impressed.

I don't know if this place has had a total turnover in employees or what but went in there Sunday for chicken dinner. We have ordered the same thing at least once a month for the last year, a large chicken family dinner with 6 extra chicken breast. We are feeding 4 adults and two teenagers with this. We got the worse chicken ever. The food used to be good here but with me anyway, there has been a gradual decline. I don't know if I just caught them at a bad time or what but probably won't be back for a while.

If i could score a zero star i would. Called in order told 10 to 15 minutes. Waited 20 and drove there. Then waited 20 minutes at the window to get food. It was a salad which by the way is not worth 6.00 and a cheese burger and loaded fries. Sandwich was cold salad tasted bad. Will never go beck to Bousers Barn again. What happened to how it used to be.

This is an AMAZING gem of a restaurant, great quality food and top notch friendly service. In fact, the owner (Keith) assisted us with our broken down scooter and helped us get on our way safely. I can't say enough about what a great experience we had thanks to Keith and the Bouser's Barn Restaurant crew.

Best fried chicken ever!!!

Went there late around 9pm had my wife,2 kids, and my mother. The place was a bit small but very cozy and a lot of old pictures and sports stuff it was ver nice. It had a country type setting. Our waitress was super sweet and fun, she engaged with the kids and had a fun bubbly personalty. We had a huge order of different foods, pizza, chicken, double cheese, fires fried mushrooms, and a lot of other stuff. All the food came out hot fresh and all at the same time, that tells mr the cook is a pro and or they work as a great team to get the food done at the same time. I give this place two thumbs up, and a must go. I will be going again.Thanks for the great food and a fun and relaxing stay.

Pretty good local place to get great fried chicken. Pizza is killer as well! They also serve Blue Bell ice cream which is a plus!

Love this place! It's genuine small town, with A small town atmosphere. but has a huge menu and dirt cheap prices. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. The pizza and chicken are famous here.

Best Chicken around .

This is a quaint little place, just a little off the beaten path. I stopped by on a whim and I am so glad that I did! It's a family owned business that is maintained by the second generation. The food is mostly family recipes that are absolutely delightful. If you like sweet in your pickles eggs and beets, they are most definitely a must try! The owner served me and I felt like I was at home. He is very warm and sincere and the service was prompt and timely. If you are in the area, you can't go wrong with a stop @ the barn.

Very expensive, very unhealthy, why everything has to be fried, so oily...but good tasting food. Breaded cauliflower is delicious. Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere. Lots of choices. They need to include some healthy, vegetarian options no fried food, less sodium, sugar. No wonder people are so sick.

This place is worth a try. Very limited options, but they are tasty. Very friendly and involved host. Restrooms are outside and around the corner but if you gotta go, they get the job done. We happened by this eatery taking the backway to michigan and yes, we will stop back by if we are headed past this way again.

Been going here since i was a kid. Great food, awesome atmosphere and good people. I order a large amount of chicken every year for our family reunion and the chicken eaters of the bunch are always happy to see it's from Bouser's when i show up. World needs more places like this. Can't wait for summer so i can go back to UC and hit up the barn!
